NKD - Nacionalna koalicija za decentralizaciju / National Coalition for Decentralisation

The areas of activity of the organization are: improvement of the position of young people in society, environmental protection and sustainable development, human and minority rights, Roma rights, improvement of the position of the media and relations between the media and CSOs, rule of law and good governance, improvement of the EU integration process in Serbia.

The NKD was created in 2005 through a civic initiative that at least one national TV frequency be assigned to a station outside Belgrade when deciding on the broadcasting of the TV Broadcasting Agency (RRA). When RRA failed to comply with this recommendation, more than 70 associations across Serbia joined the informal NKD coalition with the aim of decentralization in all areas of life. The NKD has been an informal coalition for four years, to be registered in 2010 as an association whose assembly currently holds 15 associations from 11 cities in Serbia.
