CAMP Alatoo

CAMP Alatoo is a non-profit and non-governmental organization founded in 2005 promoting sustainable development in the mountain regions of Kyrgyzstan. CAMP Alatoo is a successor organization of the Central Asian Mountain Partnership (CAMP), a program financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Jointly with its partner organizations in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, CAMP Alatoo forms part of the CAMP Network which employs about 25 people.

CAMP Alatoo pursues a trans-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder approach based on local, regional and international partnerships and experiences. CAMP Alatoo is a leading regional Central Asian nongovernmental organisation that develops, adapts and implements innovative, simple and effective technologies with an emphasis on awareness raising and involvement by villagers, local institutions, partner organizations and experts. CAMP Alatoo has developed training modules to create awareness among local communities on sustainable management of natural resources conservation.
