Sur Futuro

A private service nonprofit that started operations from 16 November 2001, promoting the development and welfare of the communities in the southern region of the Dominican Republic. Seeks to reduce the high levels of poverty and marginalization of the inhabitants of that region, through promoting the development of social, natural and productive capital in communities, helping to improve the quality of life of vulnerable populations and support sustainable management the environment and natural resources.

The mission of this institution is to contribute to economic, social and human development of poor communities in the Dominican Republic and sustainable management of the environment and natural resources.

Our corporate values are based on responsibility, solidarity, equality and dignity remain our strategic objectives as follows:

• Strengthening the capacity of management and service platform Sur Futuro Foundation, consistent with its mission and institutional vision.
• Promote the creation of joint spaces between public, private and community stakeholders at all levels, to help raise the quality of life of the target population in the economic, social and environmental.
• Promoting models and practices for sustainable use of natural resources, to help break the vicious circle of poverty and environmental degradation.

Sur Futuro focuses its work in five areas, Education and Culture, Natural Resources and Agriculture, Income Generation, Infrastructure and Social Development, organized with the joint efforts of various actors, various activities have been the basis for the growth of the Southern Region and the development of its inhabitants.
