The Umberto Veronesi Foundation was founded in 2003 on the initiative of Umberto Veronesi and many other internationally renowned scientists and intellectuals, including 11 Nobel laureates, with the aim of promoting scientific research of excellence and projects for prevention, health education and dissemination of the science.

The Foundation provides research grants and carries out its activities thanks to private citizens and partner companies, who share the objective of promoting scientific research and choose to support it in various ways.
