The AG Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archeology (CAA) is a registered association that exclusively pursues charitable goals. Which includes

the promotion of scientific exchange on questions of computer applications and quantitative methods in archeology at meetings and workshops as well as in publications,
 the promotion or organization of educational and training events
as well as the necessary procurement and administration of financial resources.
The tasks of the association include representing the members in other national and international companies, institutions, committees and commissions.
As a German section, the association is responsible for the national representation of the international association "Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archeology" (CAA for short), which holds a conference every year at changing venues. The English-language Constitution stipulates the corresponding regulations.
