About

PHD has been a supplier of NGO contracting and capacity development services to government and aid agencies internationally for over seventeen years. Managing over seventy million dollars (US$ 70m) worth of donor funding, and working with over 100 partner NGOs in Bangladesh PHD has made significant impacts on the health of poor and marginalised people across the country.

PHD is an ancestral organization of DFID supported implementing agency 'Bangladesh Population and Health Consortium' (BPHC), which was established in 1988 to provide financial and technical support to health service providing NGOs in Bangladesh. It has subsequently worked for Canadian International Development Agency, the Royal Netherlands Embassy, Swedish International Development Agency and other Bangladeshi organizations both in public as well as in the private health, nutrition and population sector. In 2002, BPHC was transformed into PHD and registered as a not-for-profit organization.

PHD has been working with a range of international and national development partners, NGOs and Government Agencies, and has made significant impacts on the health of poor and marginalized people across the country.
