Association Sidra

Created in April 2011 in Algiers, SIDRA Algeria is an approved, apolitical, non-profit association governed by the law of the Algerian associations, constituted mainly of young leaders in their disciplines. They all work around an ideal of sharing, help and diversity. Labeled in 2013 by UNESCO, SIDRA Algeria is one of the flagship youth associations of the capital. We have 70 active members with an average age of 20 years and a database of 1000 volunteers. Mission: The promotion of active citizenship of young people through solidarity and intercultural citizen projects.

Missions:

• 1- Encourage the education of Algerian children in the most isolated regions
  
• 2 - Fight against illiteracy in isolated villages in Algeria
  
• 3- Make parents aware of the importance of education teaching children (especially girls)
  
• 4 - Promoting the active citizenship of young volunteers participating in the Algerian Food Bank project
