Practical Action is an international NGO based in the United Kingdom that has been working in the fight against poverty for more than 50 years. We work in eleven countries around the world, serving East, West and Southern Africa, Latin America and South Asia.

Our ambition is to transform the way technology is used to improve the lives of people living or vulnerable to poverty. We bring communities and experts together to find practical and sustainable solutions that help people lift themselves out of poverty while preserving the planet. We share with the poorest populations the technological knowledge and the new professional practices in order to give them the means to escape themselves from their condition of poverty.
