Federazione Italiana Metalmeccanici - CISL Associazione (FIM-CISL)

The FIM is the Italian Metalworkers Federation of the CISL, the Italian Confederation of Workers' Unions. It is a democratic organization , constituted by the free accession of thousands of workers throughout Italy.

Today it has 225,422 members (as of December 31, 2015) and operates through a network of over 6,140 delegates present in the companies in the sector, coordinated by 468 full-time operators . All organizational data are available on the special section of the site dedicated to the Organizational Assembly held in Rome on November 9th and 10th 2015.

So, the FIM is an association of free people, who are not asked which party they belong, as they vote, how they think about the world, about men and about God. They just have to respect this same freedom in others and the democratic rules that govern the life of the organization. In this sense, the FIM is a lay and pluralist organization .
