Frontieri, with headquarter in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a branch office in Berlin Germany, Juba South Sudan, Nairobi Kenya and Kampala Uganda is one of the leading consulting firms in East Africa. The firm was established in 2008 primarily to undertake consultancy assignments in areas of development. 

In its more than a decade-old existence, Frontieri has grown in leaps and bounds and built a proven track record in effectively delivering assignments in a whole slew of fields of expertise. OFFICE FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT: Our work place provides for and maintains a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for staff and visitors. In addition to its optimal environment for work, the firm is also well equipped with project-related facilities and equipment needed to satisfy the requirements of our clients at any time – be it in the field or at office level.

FINANCIAL CAPABILITY: Frontieri has a well-developed and standard bookkeeping and accounting system, and follows the generally accepted accounting principles, applying double entry accounting system using Peachtree, and has adopted a standard management system. It has been audited annually for the past eleven years by external auditors and the audit reports show a healthy and steady flow of finance.

This shows that Frontieri has adequate financial resources to manage this contract as established by our financial statements, audited by an independent auditor, and submitted in this Bid Proposal.

MANAGERIAL AND KEY PERSONNEL COMPETENCY: Frontieri is composed of highly qualified, experienced and competent professionals in various disciplines, which include Agricultural and Rural Development Specialists, Senior Sociologists, Gender Specialist, Food Security Specialists, Value Chain Specialists, Education Specialists, Senior M&E Specialist, Senior Statisticians, as well as Senior Survey and Data Processing Specialists.

Frontieri also has a database of over 500 external/associate consultants, of whom 25 regularly participate in Frontieri contracts. The relevant consultants are picked for appropriate assignments, based on rigorous and transparent selection criteria that are also shared with the client.

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GOVERNMENT AND NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS: Frontieri has been engaged in numerous consulting and training assignments with the government of Ethiopia and non-governmental organizations since its establishment and all of the assignments have been accomplished successfully. These achievements have earned our firm the trust and confidence of clients and resulted in a rapid growth of the firm’s good name as well as in winning successive consulting and training assignments from different Ministries of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the World Bank & UN agencies, IFAD and other international organizations.

Moreover, Frontieri has built networks in all 11 regions and city administration, different institutes and bureaus. This collaboration has been effective in enhancing the quality of service we are providing. We have developed these good relationships with the local authorities and community members while working in different regions of the country since our establishment.

Frontieri has undertaken and successfully accomplished consultancy services on baseline survey, impact assessments, midterm review and end line surveys of different projects that gear the country towards development and growth for different multilateral Organizations, International NGOs and Governmental Organizations. The nature of the projects varies in terms of size and complexity. For a number of reasons, Frontieri believes itself to be the ideal bidder for this assignment.

Frontieri is also quite capable in conducting surveys by designing and implementing baseline, midterm, and end-line quantitative & qualitative data for large sample sizes both at household level and firm level surveys.

  • Our Quantitative Data Management system: In order to analyse quantitative data (both from the primary and secondary sources) Frontieri uses STATA and SPSS. This is done by first cleaning, coding, entering and then analysing. The survey data will also be analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Our Qualitative Data Management system: To analyse qualitative data, Frontieri uses special qualitative software called ATLAS.ti. This program facilitates for handling several aspects of the qualitative research process by helping to record information, organize and code texts, and develop systematic links between texts and emerging concepts.
  • Data Security: Frontieri exercises strict data security and safety measures throughout the entire data collection cycle. Hence, no data will be shared or transferred to third parties without informed consent of all concerned participants. Similarly, to protect against risk of data theft during file transport and transmission process, secure data transmission mechanisms are always followed in line with our client’s security Protocol. The firm has one dedicated server at headquarters level to store all survey results.
  • Frontieri uses Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) to conduct any data collection assignment.

All activities carried out and services delivered during an assignment are subject to rigorous internal quality control prior to presentation to clients. Quality control is performed within the company’s own quality framework. Procedures identified in our quality manual will be adhered to throughout the project by our consultants to successful, satisfactory and timely delivery of our projects.
