FICF is a private nonprofit Foundation that since its creation in 1998, collaborating with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the Hospital Vall d'Hebron in order to carry out its founding objectives. FICF is also associated with the Department of Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and is a WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Training in Pharmacoepidemiology. Much of the activity at FICF is to support the Catalan Institute of Health and the Department of Health of the Catalan Government to achieve safer and prudent use of medicines. However, it provides services to regulatory authorities, and national and international scientific societies.
