In October 2015 the team at Coastal Engineering Solutions joined Water Technology. Peter and Paul bring their extensive skills in numerical and physical modelling of coastal and offshore processes, and in coastal engineering design to the Coasts and Environment Group.

Our widely acknowledged strength is the application of considerable theoretical and practical knowledge of the coastal environment to provide our clients with practical engineering solutions and designs for their projects. This objective is accomplished by understanding how each project will interact with the local coastal environment and how that environment will impact on the project.

As Coastal Engineers with considerable experience, Dr. Peter Riedel and Mr. Paul O’Brien  offer a  unique and highly skilled service to governments, the private sector and the general engineering profession.  Both specialise in studies of the complex interaction between coastal and offshore processes and man-made structures.  Our team also has extensive technical skills in the areas of mathematical modelling of offshore and coastal processes, physical modelling of waves and wave forces, coastal engineering design in relation to secondary pipeline stabilisation, beach systems, seawalls, reclamations, breakwaters, marinas and small ports.
