About
OUR EMPLOYEES
At DECO, count on 80 specialists available to work for you.
We are a dynamic and highly qualified team that seeks, at all times, to provide a quality service to consumers. We are constantly developing projects and initiatives that allow consumers in Portugal to be better informed, enlightened, aware, confident and empowered.
That's how you can count on us.
RIGHT TO TRAINING AND EDUCATION
The training and education of consumers is one of the strategic pillars of DECO's action.
For us, it is not enough that consumers have legally recognized rights or that they know they exist. In addition to being informed and sensitized to the most diverse issues related to consumption, consumers must be able to understand, interpret and use the information they receive. Only then will they be able to mobilize themselves, individually or collectively, in order to demand the fulfillment of their rights and obtain answers to their concerns, including at the environmental and social level.
This is why DECO develops educational and training initiatives and projects: to ensure that all citizens are informed, active and confident consumers in their choices and in consumer relations.
DECO assumes itself as a privileged partner in negotiation processes, acting on behalf of all consumers, both nationally and in Europe.
Internationally, we highlight the work we have been carrying out with the BEUC – European Consumer Organization, by joining the executive body of this organization. The effort that we have developed within the scope of the working groups promoted by the European Commission has also contributed to ensuring that the Community's consumer protection policy always takes national problems into account.
It is through representation that we are able to give voice to consumer issues, also at national level. Every year, DECO issues hundreds of opinions and participates in parliamentary hearings, promotes meetings with the Government of Portugal, Parliamentary Groups, Regulatory Entities and other forums where it manages to effectively demand the fulfillment of consumer rights and interests.
