La Fémis (École nationale supérieure des métiers de l'image et du son)

The Fémis (National School of Image and Sound Trades) is a large public school that belongs to the Ministry of Culture. It is funded by the National Center for Cinema and Animated Image ( CNC ).
It is an associate institution of the University Paris Sciences et Lettres which gathers about twenty major institutions of higher education and research (Ecole Normale Supérieure, University Paris-Dauphine, College of France, Mines ParisTech, National School of Fine Arts , National Superior Conservatory of Dramatic Art, ...).Created in 1986 in the form of an association law of 1901, La Fémis is today a public industrial and commercial establishment (law of December 16, 1996 and decree of May 13, 1998).
