HYDROCHINA has completed the hydropower planning for Yangtze River system, the Yellow River system, the Pearl River system, and other twelve larger river systems, as well as a number of medium-size rivers. HYDROCHINA successively undertook the preliminary survey and countercheck of the nationwide hydropower resources and a technically exploitable hydropower capacity of 542,000 MW was identified, and carried out international cooperation with Myanmar on hydropower development planning for rivers along the border.
