Institut für Sozialwissenschaftliche Forschung - ISF München

The ISF Munich is one of the leading research and industrial sociology research institutions in Germany. The independent, non-profit institute has been researching and designing the topic of work for more than 50 years. The research is largely funded by project-based funds.

The ISF Munich works closely with companies ranging from multinationals to micro-enterprises and numerous public institutions, business associations and unions. It cooperates on an international scale with universities, polytechnics, research institutions of various disciplines and data-holding institutions. The projects are funded by ministries, in particular the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, foundations (such as the Hans Böckler Foundation, Volkswagen Foundation), the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the European Union.
