SSA Associates is a network of local, regional and international consultants who have extensive experience in private, public and NGO sector interventions in rural development in Africa. The Association was formed with the intention of offering a one-stop shop for expertise covering the entire value chain from production to market by practically sourcing and implementing development programs that enhance the livelihoods of the rural poor. With the ever increasing food security crisis, the rising HIV rates and the resulting concern for the orphans, we don’t believe that handouts are the answer. Instead, we are working to bring about permanent life change by building capacity and sustainability since lasting change must rely on the poor themselves. Our consultants are experts in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, project management, supply chain management, marketing, economics, food safety, applied sciences, as well as business, operations and financial management.
