About
The Brașov Metropolitan Agency was established at the beginning of 2006 through the combined efforts of the Brașov Municipality and the communities in its metropolitan area, together with the Brașov County Council.
Currently, the following communities are members of the Metropolitan Agency for Sustainable Development Brasov: Brasov, Sacele, Codlea, Predeal, Ghimbav, Rasnov, Zarnesti, Bod, Budila, Cristian, Tarlungeni, Prejmer, Harman, Sanpetru , Hălchiu, Crizbav, Vulcan and Feldioara, together with the Braşov County Council.
Since 2007, AMB has had the status of Intercommunity Development Association, established at the level of the Brasov Growth Pole, being composed of 19 members.
Mission: To promote and support the cooperation between public, private actors and NGOs, for the sustainable, economic, social and cultural development of the Brasov Metropolitan Area.
Purpose: To facilitate cooperation between member communities, for the joint implementation of sustainable development activities and policies (supporting social progress, promoting effective environmental protection measures, encouraging the rational use of natural resources, supporting economic growth).
