About
MIGUEL ALTUNA CIFP was created on June 22, 1928 with the name of Basic and Textile Training School . The school was located in the Royal Seminary of Bergara. Classes were taught in the morning and at night, and there were two degrees offered: Industrial Officer and Industrial Master. The center was located there until the civil war, that is, until 1936.
Once the war was over, the school reopened its doors on October 16, 1944. At this time, two people became protagonists: on the one hand, José Mª Aguirre, Manager of the Cerrajera Union and Director of the school and other side Miguel Altuna, as Secretary of the school. In 1990, what was known as the Elementary School became MIGUEL ALTUNA.
In March 1996, the facilities where the school is currently opened were inaugurated and in 1998 MIGUEL ALTUNA became a Specific Institute of Higher Degree in Vocational Training, providing training cycles and continuous and initial training.
