Association Française de l'Eclairage (AFE) / French Association of lighting

The French Lighting Association was founded in 1930 because of the considerable development of the science of lighting and its market. Collaboration between specialists from a wide variety of industries (including doctors, scientists, etc.) has proved necessary for the benefit of users.
This is the main mission of the AFE: to study and make available to all the best practices of lighting to ensure the respect of human needs. The AFE provides a health watch by a College of doctors and researchers (AFE Health College) on the effects of light on humans and biodiversity. On the basis of this work, the AFE defines recommendations included in the labor code. She participates in national works and is regularly asked by the media to express herself on the subjects of the effects of light on humans.
