Groupement des Industries de Construction et Activités Navales - GICAN

The GICAN, Group of Construction Industries and Naval Activities, federates nearly 190 manufacturers of the French maritime industry. It brings together shipyards, systems, equipment manufacturers, subcontractors, engineering companies, naval architects and all the companies involved in civil shipbuilding and its equipment, defense, safety and security shipbuilding, marine renewable energies, ocean recovery and protection, and coastal and port infrastructures.

In the context of the globalization of the global economy, the ambition of GICAN is to promote the development of the French maritime industry to enable it to play a leading role in the enhancement, security and protection of maritime areas, aeronautical, submarine and coastal.

To achieve this ambition, GICAN has three main missions to serve its present and future members who will practice in five strategic business areas.
