About

Asia Pacific Waste Consultants (APWC) is a team of experienced waste management professionals who are passionate about improving environmental and health outcomes in both developed and developing economies, with a focus on the Asia Pacific Region.

It is estimated that unless serious action is taken, by 2050 there will be more plastics than fish in the oceans¹. APWC is delivering projects across the Pacific Asia and the Caribbean. Our focus is on collecting comprehensive baseline waste data to inform legislation, policies and programs and developing and improving waste management practices, systems and education to reduce the amount of waste entering the oceans. We aim to inform appropriate decision making by governments and measure and monitor the outcomes.

Our clients include global packaging companies, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the European Union, the UK Government (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science – CEFAS) and the Australian, New Zealand and Japanese governments.
