Liviero

The Liviero Group is South Africa’s largest privately black owned multidisciplinary construction Group. With headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa and several regional offices throughout the country, the Group is firmly positioned to provide solid support to its clients and operations in South Africa. 

Imp. Giosue Liviero was founded in 1955 by the late Giosue Liviero in a small town outside Venice, Italy called Mirano. His immigration to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 1967 resulted in the formation of Giosue Liviero Builders (Pvt) Ltd. In 1983, the Liviero family relocated to Durban, South Africa where G Liviero Building (Pty) Ltd was established.  Giosue’s son, Luca Liviero joined the family  business in 1989 and changed its name to G Liviero & Son Building (Pty) Ltd. From these humble beginnings, G Liviero & Son has evolved into the Liviero Group, a  diversified  multi-disciplinary  construction  Group,  generating  an  annual turnover in excess of R3 billion and currently employing around 2600 people. 

The Liviero Group, through its specialised operating companies of Liviero Building, Liviero Civils, Liviero Mining, Liviero Drill & Blast, Liviero Plant and Liviero Energy, covers the full spectrum of construction services including Civil Engineering, Roads and Earthworks, Building, Property Development, Mining Infrastructure, Open Cast Mining and Yellow Metal Plant Hire. This enables the Group to provide a “one stop” construction solution to its clients. 

With a highly experienced Directorate and dynamic teams of managers, complimented by a dedicated group workforce,  Liviero strives for excellence, delivering quality products on time and within the required budget. 

The operating companies are substantially backed by the Groups’ impressive array of modern plant and equipment with a replacement value in excess of R1.5 billion.
