Since 1983 Bergamo Film Meeting Onlus has been working to offer the public a quality cinema, exploring new international productions and great masterpieces of the past, to offer opportunities for deepening and reflection. Bergamo Film Meeting Onlus organizes the homonymous international film festival in March, one of the most important events in Europe for all cinema lovers.
Bergamo Film Meeting Onlus collaborates throughout the year with numerous bodies and associations, promoting and curating thematic film reviews (A Shot in the Dark, Wednesday of the lion), events (Giulio These Award), live soundtrack films , activities for the enhancement of Simenon Fund , training courses, in-depth courses and workshops on film culture and publications .
Furthermore, it supports and promotes the distribution in the Italian cultural circuit of films and documentaries from national and international film production and participates in there-edition and distribution in restored copies of classics from the history of cinema.
