Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food

Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food is a government-appointed authority within the portfolio of the Ministry of Agriculture, established by the Food Act. HAH is a legal entity with rights and obligations stipulated in the Food Act and the HAH Statute. The Director of HAH represents HAH and is responsible for its effective and lawful operation. The official date of HAH opening was 3 January 2005 and from that date the seat of HAH is in Osijek. HAH activities are funded from the state budget of the Republic of Croatia.

HAH performs scientific and technical tasks in the field of food and feed safety and is national referent point for risk assessment in food and feed safety area. In performing its duties HAH is guided by principles of independence, transparency and confidentiality.
