Football is the number one national sport. With more than 1.2 million members, the KNVB is the largest sports association in the Netherlands. Every week, the football association, together with 3,200 associations, organizes approximately 33,000 matches. On fields and in halls, men, women, boys and girls compete against each other with a sporting and social objective. Football is our life In addition, hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts spend countless hours as volunteers on the sport, for example as a referee, youth leader, canteen manager or board member. Also think of the millions of fans of Orange and the clubs in professional football, who all enjoy football a lot. For all these people, football plays an important role. And for many it probably applies, just like for the KNVB: 'Football is our life'.
