About

Photographer (and writer). Focus on people stories, humanitarian issues, poverty alleviating projects, health, education, agriculture and the environment, Has significant travel and tourism experience - especially interested in sustainable community tourism initiatives. Gail can work with you to produce photography and stories to raise awareness of the lives of others, for campaigns, case studies, editorial, exhibitions or 'fund raising' comms. Following a successful career spanning Travel and Tourism, PR and Communications. Gail has been freelance since 2002 and uses her skills in photography, writing and business to provide cost effective services to a variety of organisations. She has lived in North Africa, West Africa, South East Asia and worked in many more countries, including Ethiopia and Rwanda. Naturally sensitive and empathetic to situations, Gail works openly but with respect and discretion (photographing with the minimum of kit and natural light). Gail has spoken at conferences, schools and events about her work. Exhibitions include 'Growing up in the shadow of Chernobyl', 'An exhibition of Shared Humanity' and in 2010, 'Changing Lives' - photographs and stories of people for whom the MDG's are making a difference. She also runs photography workshops and photo projects. Gail speaks reasonable French, Greek and rusty German as well as 'hello', 'how are you' and 'where's the lou' in a number of other languages! Truth in photography is important - factual, honest, responsible and respectful.
