HPMC - Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation Ltd. (India)

HPMC (H.P. Horticulture Produce Marketing & Processing Corporation, a HP State Government Undertaking) was incorporated on 10th June, 1974 with the financial assistance of World Bank. The organization was set up to provide post-harvest facilities to the fruit growers of the Himachal Pradesh, and help them to get best returns for their produce from the market.

The infrastructure created at that time was hugely responsible in helping the farmers move to more advanced technologies, and compete in the international markets. Today, the infrastructure has been further upgraded to meet the stringent requirements of the export markets, besides servicing the domestic market more efficiently.
