Created in 1983, the Islamic Bank of Guinea (BIG) is the first private bank in the Republic of Guinea.

It is a member of the Tamweel Africa Holding group which brings together four (04) Islamic banks in the West African sub-region: Islamic Bank of Senegal (BIS), Islamic Bank of Niger (BIN), Islamic Bank of Mauritania (BIM).

Its main objective is to participate in the development of the Guinean economy by offering Islamic financing solutions and banking services in accordance with the principles of sharia and perfectly adapted to the needs of economic operators in different sectors: trade, construction, agriculture, etc.

To be closer to its customers, it has developed an agency network both in Conakry and within the country. It currently has nine (09) agencies including six (06) in Conakry (Nafaya or headquarters, Coléah, Constantin, Madina, Lambanyi, Cimenterie) and three (03) in the provinces (Kindia, Mamou and Labé).

It has recruited a dynamic and competent staff, which enables it to offer quality service and to carry out profitable financing projects on the basis of profit sharing.
