Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, y Medio Rural y Marino/ Ministry of the Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs (Spain)

The Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, was created by Royal Decree 432/2008 of 12 April. It is as well as newly created Ministry assumes the responsibilities previously assigned to deleted Ministries of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Environment, more competition in the protection of the sea, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Development.

It is for the government department referred to the proposal and implementation of government policy in the fight against climate change, natural heritage protection, biodiversity and the sea, water, rural development, agriculture, livestock and fisheries, and nutrition.
