WMC - Women's Media Centre of Cambodia

The Women’s Media Center of Cambodia is a media non-governmental and non-profit organization, incepted in 1995 by a coalition of five women including Ms. Yim Chandavy, Mrs. Nuth Rasy, Ms. Chea Sundaneth, Mrs. Som Khemra, and Mrs. TivSarayet.The foremost media organization has been producing and broadcasting various high quality and innovative radio, television and video production, which have entirely educated Cambodia population in particularly women and youth as well as general public on a wide-ranging of issues such as gender equality, enhancement and protection of women’s human rights, democratic and inclusive development, governance, transparence and social accountability, rule of law and so on.

The organization has not only delivered accurate and unbiased information, messages and awareness influenced the lives of the citizens just through its old media mediums, but those crucial and empowered knowledge have also reached out to the public via its new media platforms like multi-media website, YouTube, Facebook, and so forth, in accordance with its media professionalism.
