About
Founded in the late 1960s (Law No. 4161 of 12/31/1968), ENIT is the dean of engineering schools in Tunisia. The founder - and first director of ENIT - is Mr. Mokhtar LAATIRI, engineer and senior Tunisian civil servant. Since its creation, ENIT has continued to be invested with decisive national missions. Polytechnic by vocation, it provided the young Tunisian state which had just regained its independence, with its senior technical staff who laid the foundations for civil and industrial infrastructure (electricity production, factories, dams, road networks, works, etc.) . Such infrastructures have largely contributed to establishing the foundations of the economic development of Tunisia today.
