Energy Action Ltd

Energy Action Ltd was established in 1988. It is an Irish Registered Charity with a voluntary Board of Directors drawn from a variety of backgrounds in both the public and private sector. The key objective of the organisation is to alleviate fuel poverty in Dublin by provision of insulation in the homes of older people and low income people. 

Energy Action provides a free insulation service to qualifying households. This service aims to improve the energy efficiency and comfort conditions of homes occupied by low-income and elderly households, through installing attic insulation, draught proofing, lagging jackets, energy efficient lighting, and energy advice. Householders eligible for this scheme are typically residents of Non-Local Authority Homes constructed before 2002 and in receipt of a Fuel Allowance payment (as part of the National Fuel Scheme).
