You might not think so, but ProRail is the company with the largest ICT department in the Netherlands. Without ICT, no train will run.

For ProRail, for example, good communication systems are indispensable. Our planners set the timetable in systems developed by ourselves. These are used by train traffic controllers to communicate with the train drivers. We also maintain and develop communication systems so that, in the event of an incident, all the necessary parties - train traffic control, train drivers, incident responders, emergency services - are informed quickly and correctly. And we make systems for optimal planning of maintenance and new construction on the track.
