The ITB Energy Policy Center (PKE-ITB) is an activity unit at ITB that specializes in the assessment / study of energy policy. Research activities at PKE-ITB are emphasized in the study and development of planning methodologies, policy analysis, application of technology, and dissemination of information relating to the development of the energy sector and its impact on the national economy, environmental quality, particularly in relation to climate change issues, in the context of sustainable development .
The research staff at PKE-ITB are mostly ITB lecturer staff who were previously active in conducting research at the ITB Energy Research Center (established in 1981) which was later changed to KPP Energy (2003) which was disbanded in 2004. PKE-ITB membership is open to all ITB academic communities who have an interest in the field of energy studies.
