The Indian Education system has no rooms for educating the Special children specially for hearing impaired. Sign Language Is taught In D.Ed. & B.Ed.( only Special one) But a normal teacher Can Not teach a Blind , H.I. or Specially abled Child. So Special School With Special Educators and a Principal who had a’ Special mission’ that children away from cities specially ruaral areas should also get an opportunity to study and ‘Vision’ that these children are no less and given the opportunity: they can come up with flying colours such a dream came into reality in the form of’ Kopal Vani.’

Kopal vani school was started in 2004 in Raipur district with only four children. This is Chhattisgarhs first residential hearing impaired school , with lot of difficulties (turmoil) and struggle ; Padma Sharma the founder of the school has taken it to great heights and now their are 150 students in the school and Chhattisgarhs first collegefor hearing impaired has also been started. In this journey of 15 years . Students have got many laurels in the able guidance of Principal Padma Sharma and her team.
