Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk (Akademia Pomorska w Słupsku)

The Pomeranian University in Słupsk, in line with the centuries-old tradition of European universities, refers to universal values: the truth in science, the community nature of knowledge and teaching, respect for various views, and creative relations between academic teachers, doctoral students and students.

The mission of the University towards society is: co-creation and preservation of culture and national identity with respect to different cultures and traditions; acquiring, interpreting, storing and transferring knowledge in accordance with the canon of universal knowledge; promoting a critical attitude towards reality in a sense of responsibility for the future of an individual, Poland, Europe and the world.

The university is jointly responsible for creating a knowledge-based society through the use of modern information technologies. It provides its employees with scientific development and the possibility of conducting high-quality research. It takes up new didactic challenges, taking care of the level of education and adjusting its educational offer to the requirements of the rapidly changing labor market and the growing demand for various forms of lifelong learning. In carrying out these tasks, the Pomeranian University cooperates with other academic universities as well as with social and economic organizations. The heritage and the present day of Pomerania obliges the University to strengthen international ties and spread the idea of intercultural dialogue.
