The history of the company Iproeb S.A. Bistrita begins in 1977 when the industrial platform of Bistrita city was created.

Since its incorporation as an independent company in 1982, IPROEB S.A. has played an important role in the Romanian electrotechnical industry, having a determined, upward progress that continues even after 1989. Therefore, in 1996, IPROEB S.A. becomes a joint-stock company, with full private capital. In 2015 it is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and in 2021 it becomes part of the Electromontaj S.A. group.

IPROEB S.A. aims at continuously improving its performance, increasing the qualitative and quantitative level of production and expanding its range of products. The strategy to reinvest a large part of the profit obtained proves the shareholder's decision to maintain the company's competitiveness at the highest standards.

SC IPROEB S.A. Bistrita is made up of two production factories that have distinct manufacturing profiles, as follows:

• The Cable and Conductor Factory (FCC)
• Means of automation department (F.A.I.)

IPROEB's business field includes the production and marketing of aluminum conductors, steel-aluminum and galvanized steel, drag ropes; copper and aluminum cables and conductors insulated in PVC and polyethylene; electrical insulating materials; composite insulators; means of automation and various electrical equipment.
