E.I.P.L.I. - Ente per lo Sviluppo dell’Irrigazione e la Trasformazione Fondiaria in Puglia, Lucania ed Irpinia

The Organization for the Development of Irrigation and Land Transformation in Puglia, Lucania and Irpinia (E.I.P.L.I.), a legal person under public law, based in Bari, was established by Decree of the Provisional Head of the State no. 281 of 18 March 1947 and subsequent amendments, subsequently confirmed with Presidential Decree n. 666 of July 16, 1977; following the transfer to the Regions of the "irrigation and land transformation" matters, with the Presidential Decree of 18 April 1979, assets and personnel were assigned to the Regions of Puglia, Basilicata and Campania, while the following residual functions were ascribed to the body:

• Design and execution of second category hydraulic works relating to interregional basins;

• Operation and maintenance of works within its competence;

• Studies and researches connected with the residual functions referred to in the previous points.
