FOR SUSTAINABLE TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT

The Ceará Agropolos Institute has been working for sustainable rural development in the state for over a decade. Founded in 2002 as a non-profit social organization, it was created to strengthen production chains, both in Family Agriculture and Agribusiness.

In addition to technical assistance for family production, the Agropolos Institute invests in product improvement actions, in strengthening public marketing policies, in the territorial development strategy and in studies on the living conditions of farmers.

Currently, 652 employees work throughout Ceará and provide Technical Assistance and Rural Extension services to 18,000 farmers. There are 21 territorial units distributed throughout the State, serving as a support base for all these teams that are in the field.
