NPI's main objective is to promote the protection of Industrial Property Rights (DPI) in Portugal and presents itself as a model of good practices, both nationally and internationally, with regard to the protection of patents, brands and designs .
INPI - National Institute of Industrial Property's mission is to ensure the protection of Industrial Property (PI), granting Industrial Property Rights with quality, speed and efficiency, as well as the promotion of Industrial Property, with the objective of contributing to innovation, competitiveness and economic growth of the country.
INPI's vision is to be recognized as a model of good practices, either by partners in the National Scientific and Technological System, or by relevant international organizations, and to achieve excellence, both in organizational and institutional terms.
