The Regional Center for Research and Training in Clinical Care of Fann (CRCF) / Centre régional de Recherche et de Formation à la prise en charge Clinique de Fann (CRCF)

The Regional Center for Research and Training in Clinical Care of Fann (CRCF) in Dakar is a research and training platform located within the premises of the Infectious Diseases Service at

the CHNU of Fann. It is placed under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The CRCF was inaugurated on May 27, 2005 by the Senegalese authorities, in collaboration with their

French, European and United Nations system partners. The founding members of the CRCF are: the National Council for the Fight against AIDS (CNLS), the Research Institute for

Development ( IRD), the Institute of Medicine and Applied Epidemiology (IMEA), the Infectious and Tropical Diseases Service (SMIT) of the National University Hospital of Fann (CHNU), the

Division for the Fight against AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections of the Ministry of Health and Medical Prevention (DLSI). The CRCF is an ANRS site administered by Bernard Taverne

(North coordinator) and Ibra Ndoye (South coordinator).
