The object of activity of the Pasteur Institute of Algeria is the identification of infectious, parasitic and immune diseases and the development and promotion of methods and tools necessary for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. As such, the missions of the Pasteur Institute of Algeria are within the framework of an activity of services, research, training, production and distribution of biological products and are distributed as follows: Missions with a scientific vocation : Diagnostic services and analyzes (Humans/animals/food/environments) Epidemiological surveillance; Research ; Reference and expertise (Reference Centers); Industrial and commercial missions: Industrial production, covering 3 product groups (Vaccines and serums for human use, Vaccines for veterinary use, Culture media and reagents); Production and breeding of laboratory animal lines; Acquisition and distribution of vaccines and biological products to health establishments as part of health prevention.
