IF Metall (Svenska metallindustriarbetareförbundet)

IF Metall is a feminist union with over 300,000 members who work together for the right to a good and safe job.

We work in large parts of the Swedish industry, including the plastics, pharmaceuticals, building materials, steel, chemical and engineering industries.

In addition, more than 26,000 of the members are elected representatives, trade unionists, in the workplace.

IF Metall consists of 35 departments where you as a member belong to one. A department is geographically limited by one or more municipalities and exists to provide local support for trade union activities.

We work for the interests of the members and for a democratic and equal society. No one should be forced to work for worse compensation or working conditions than what is stated in the collective agreement. The collective agreement is the core of the union.
