Fundacion Profesor Novoa Santos / The Professor Nóvoa Santos Foundation

The Fundación Profesor Nóvoa Santos is the entity responsible for the promotion, management and development of research and innovation in the Health Areas of A Coruña and Ferrol, as well as the dissemination and transfer of the results obtained to society.It is an institution constituted in one thousand nine hundred and ninety-one, declared of Health Interest and hosted by the Protectorate of Foundations exercised by the Ministry of Health of the Xunta de Galicia.The Foundation is the sole managing body of the Biomedical Research Institute of A Coruña (INIBIC), which is made up of the research groups of the Integrated Management area of A Coruña and the University of A Coruña, with the aim of creating a stable collaboration framework that integrates basic and clinical research developed in our geographical area, enabling a more effective transfer to society of the scientific advances obtained in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases.

He is also responsible for the management of courses at the Technological Training Center (CTF), recognized as an international reference center in the field of training of health professionals, which actively participates in research projects on health training and innovation of the teaching technology.
