The Foundation for Advanced Biomedical Research has over 25 years of history and supports biomedical research projects. In particular, it manages the V.I.M.M, the Veneto Institute of Molecular Medicine in Padua, which today represents one of the centers of excellence at an international level for research carried out in the field of cellular and molecular biology. We deal with research on tumors, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic and muscular diseases.

The common thread of the research projects is the study of cellular signals (signalling). Understanding the mechanisms through which cells communicate with each other is of primary importance to understand the causes of many diseases that are currently incurable.
