The central mission of the Court of Accounts, Higher Institution of Control (ISC) of the Democratic Republic of Congo, as prescribed by article 180 of the Constitution is "the control of the management of the finances of the State, of public goods as well. as the accounts of the provinces, decentralized territorial entities as well as public bodies. 

The Court of Accounts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the Higher Institution of Public Finance Control of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its mission is to carry out, independently, a posteriori external control of the finances of the State and its branches as well as of the organizations, public enterprises and other entities benefiting from the financial support of the State. It makes a judgment on the regularity of the financial statements and the accounts of public accountants using a contradictory approach and in accordance with generally accepted standards.

The Court of Auditors contributes through its verification and compliance control missions to the improvement of financial governance and compliance with the principles of accountability. It submits to the President of the Republic, to Parliament and to the Government a report with recommendations on the results of its work.

It intends to serve the Nation by ensuring a transparent and efficient use of finances and public goods.
