LEDS - Labour Education Development Society

Labour Education and Development Society (LEDS) is a grassroots organisation based in New Dehli that aims to empower workers and help them access their rights and entitlements. In its Freedom Fund project, LEDS seeks to sensitise communities about the causes of child labour and organise community members to combat the practice.

The overall goal of LEDS’s 2018-2019 project is to sensitize the community towards the cause of child labour and organize communities to take action. A conscious and aware community will be empowered to stand up against employers of child labour and traffickers. Throughout the course of this project, LEDS will engage in action research, which is a learning process that combines collecting and analysing evidence, with learning from experimental action.
