BEIRA SERRA - Development Association, formed on November 3, 1994, is a non-profit organization that was born from the union of parishes, unions and social organizations in the Cova da Beira region in favor of a common dream - work on the social development of the territory and its communities.At the beginning, it focused its actions on rural development and community animation. Over the years, the areas of development and the populations served have been expanded, adapting to the new realities of the Cova da Beira region, to their needs and social contexts. To implement projects in the social, economic, cultural and environmental areas with the purpose of a fair and equitable society.In this sense, the history of BEIRA SERRA - Associação de Desenvolvimento is marked by a deep connection and involvement with the people and territories of Belmonte, Covilhã and Fundão, maintaining a democratic, representative and participatory association throughout its history.
