Center for Engagement and Advocacy in the Americas (former Center for Democracy in the Americas )

The Center for Democracy in the Americas (CDA) is a non-partisan institution dedicated to promoting a U.S. policy toward the Americas based on engagement and mutual respect, fostering dialogue with those governments and movements with which U.S. policy is at odds, and recognizing positive trends in democracy and governance.

We promote U.S. policies of engagement with Cuba. Our current focus areas are Cuba, Venezuela, and regional migration. CDA’s work exposes policymakers to the impact of U.S. policies throughout the region. We believe engaging with countries in the region is in the U.S. national interest.
